Dodital-Darwa Pass trek takes us into the interior forestscapes of Assi Ganga Valley. This trek offers an amazing escapade into the deep jungles of Uttarkashi. The idyllic 40 km trek starts from Agoda village to a crystal green Dodital Lake at 3,024M and further up to Darwa Pass soaring high at 4,151M.

Dodital lies in the Garhwal Himalayas bordered by the Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini ranges on one side. It opens up through the Darwa Pass towards Yamunotri on the other.

Dodital is also known as “Dhundital” meaning ‘Ganesha Ka Tal’ or ‘Lake of Ganesha’. As per Hindu mythology, it is believed that Dodital is the birth place of Lord Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. It is said that Lord Ganesha chose this lake as his abode

Day 1 :

Drive From Uttrkashi to Agoda Village(16km, 1 Hrs) and then Trek to Manjhi (9 km, 6 hrs)

The route opens up into an oak forest which is followed by a few thousand steps on the side of a huge rock face. A small patch of silver oak jungle follows, taking us into the deeper pockets of Uttarkashi. The pleasant fragrance from the oak trees gives out a soothing vibe all the way up to Bhebra village and finally we reach manjhi, our night Campsite

Day 2 :

Trek from Manjhi to Dodital (6km, 4 Hrs)

The path to Dodital is pretty easy. The lake is as beautiful as ever and the surrounding area was touched up with snow.The Ganpati Temple was closed. Dodital, like I said, according Hindu mythology is supposed to be the birthplace of Lord Ganesha.
We reach early Dodital, So we get enought time to explore the place.

Day 3 :

.Dodital to Darwa top (5km, 4 Hrs)

The trail from Dodital to Darwa Pass is heavily guarded with golden oak trees and a thick coat of vegetation. Multiple streams formed from the melting of the snow over the pass are encountered on the way early on. As we move higher up, the views shift from a backdrop of lakes to accommodate large mountains of the Garhwal range into our field of vision. Availability of water starts to get scarce as we go up.

The last stretch of Darwa Pass is a steep ascent. Darwa Pass offers mesmerizing views of Mt. Srikanth Peak, Deoli, Bandarpoonch, DraupadikaDanda and Hanuman Ganga Valley

Day 4 :

Exploration Day and Visit to Gulabi Kantha-3km and return back to Darwa Camp

Gulabi Kantha is surrounded with Bandarpunch Peak, Kalindi Sirkala, Shivalik Mountains and Chaukhamba Peak which all lie in the Himalayan range. Even though this gorgeous place offers an adventurous trek, it still lies in the list of the untouched and lesser known trek of the trekking communities of India.

Day 5 :

Darwa Top to Seema Tatch (10 kms, 7 hrs)

AS we cross Dawra pass, we reach to Yamunotri Side of Our Trek.
Darwa Top lies 5 kms ahead of Dodital and it is the highest point of the trek. From here one can see the best views of mesmerising mountain peaks like Swargarohini, Banderpunch, Draupadi ka Danda, Srikantha, Jaonli, and Deonli. .

Day 6 :

Seema Tatch to Hanuman Chati (13 Kms, 6Hrs)

Today though we have to cover a lengthy distance but our Trek is simple and continously descenting Toward Yamuna Valley
